Bintimani, An Expedition in West African Food TastingWelcome to Bintimani!
Bintimani is not simply a restaurant. It invites you to an expedition. Also, it is an experiment. And further, it is a COZY JUNGLE.
What does all this mean? Bintimani is, by design, not a western style restaurant. Don't get us wrong. We have a professinal license to cook; and we have met all the city's requirements to operate the same way other restaurants in Boston operate.
However, we maintain the character of a typical West African style food cookery: simple, down-to-earth rawness, a touch of homeliness mixed with a welcoming hospitable staff attitude, and an always friendly cozy atmosphere.
We experiment with food. For example, our white (no palm oil) spinach sauce has proved to be a wonder sauce, loved by our customers. It is simply an American vegetable, spinach, ingeneously prepared the West African way. You must try it to believe this.
Bintimani is a unofficial forum and ideas common market where customers dicuss everything under the sun from high-stakes politics to humor that will make you crack.
Bintimani is a venue where individuals, from the homeland or elsewhere, who have not seen each other for 20 to 30 years, meet. Such meetings are always charged with excitement, flash backs, that beg for a celebration of some sort.
